How customers book jobs with you online through TradeCatch: setting the days and hours you’re free, reminders, and moving or cancelling a booking.

How can customers book a job with me online?

Bookings gives you your own booking link, where customers pick a free slot. It's off until you turn it on. Open Bookings, tap Settings, and tap "Turn your booking link on".

You can copy the link, share it, or text it to a customer. When someone accepts a quote, they're offered a time to book the visit too. Your AI receptionist can also book callers into a free slot.

To book a job in yourself, tap "New booking".

How do I set the days and hours I'm free?

Open Bookings, tap Settings, and go to "When you take jobs". Switch each day on or off and set your start and finish times. Customers can only book you in those hours.

How do I set how long a job takes, in hours or half-days?

Open Bookings, tap Settings, and go to "The jobs you do". Add each job you do and pick how long it takes, from 30 minutes up to half a day or a full day.

You can also set how long a typical job takes, and the gap you need between jobs. Jobs that run over several days can't be booked yet.

Do customers get a reminder before the job?

Yes, it's on from the start. Customers get a reminder a day before the job. Open Bookings and tap Settings to change how far ahead it goes, whether it's sent by text or email, or to turn it off.

If a booking moves, the reminder moves with it.

How do I move or cancel a booking?

Open the booking in your calendar. Tap "Change the time" to move it, or "Cancel booking" to cancel it. On a computer you can drag it to a new time.

You can choose to let the customer know by text, and that's ticked for you.

What happens if a customer cancels or wants to move?

Their confirmation text and email include a link to change or cancel. They can move to another free slot or cancel online, and your calendar updates.

They can't change it online within 24 hours of the job. They'll be asked to ring you instead.

Will Catch ring to confirm a booking? How do I turn that off?

Only if you switch it on. Open Bookings, tap Settings, and find "Confirmation calls". When it's on, the customer gets a call the day before to confirm.

It's off unless you turn it on. You can also skip it for one booking when you make it.

Can I stop people booking at short notice, or on certain days?

Yes. Open Bookings, tap Settings, and go to "How your day runs". Set the shortest notice you need in hours, how far ahead people can book, and the most jobs in a day. Switch off any day you don't work.

You can't block out single dates, like a holiday, yet. Turn your booking link off while you're away instead.

How do I see today's jobs?

Open Bookings. Today's jobs are at the top of the page, with what's coming up beneath. Or open "Your calendar" to see a day, week or month.
