Calls

It picks up when you can't.

You're on a ladder, under a sink or driving between jobs. It answers in your business's name, asks what the job is, where and how soon, then texts you the details. Below is a call to our demo business, Dave Mitchell Plumbing.

Talk to it now

Call our demo business, Dave Mitchell Plumbing, from your browser and hear the AI receptionist answer. Ask it anything a customer would.

Try saying

  • “There’s water coming through my kitchen ceiling”
  • “My boiler’s stopped and I’ve got no hot water”
  • “Could someone come and quote for a new bathroom?”

Or call 023 9200 2063 from your phone.

  1. Receptionist

Hi, thanks for calling Dave Mitchell Plumbing! I'm the AI receptionist for Dave and the team. They're out on a job right now, but I can take your details and make sure someone gets back to you quickly. How can I help?

  2. Caller

Yeah. Hi. I've got water coming out from under my sink, and it's going everywhere. Can somebody come out?

  3. Receptionist

That sounds really stressful—I'm sorry you're dealing with that. I'll make sure this gets marked as urgent for Dave. Can I take your name and the best number for a callback? And are you in Brighton, or another area nearby?

Our story

Why I left Xero to build this.

After 30 years in corporate big tech, I left Xero to retire. Retirement didn't take.

I launched Alexa in the UK, then spent years at Xero working with thousands of small businesses. From the inside, I watched big companies use AI to work faster, cut the admin and pull ahead.

I wanted to bring that same power to the little guy: the plumber under a sink, the electrician up a ladder, the one- or two-van business that can't afford to hire an office manager. TradeCatch is for UK trades with one to ten people, and it does the office work while you do the job.

Questions trades ask.

Is it a robot?

It's an AI receptionist. It sounds natural, and it says so if anyone asks.

What if it gets something wrong?

You see every call and check every quote before it goes. You're always in control.

Do I keep my number?

Yes. You forward the calls you miss to it.

I'm not technical.

If you can forward a call, you can set it up.
